Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Account and profile information may include name, email address, phone number when enabled, date of birth for age eligibility, profile photo, church affiliation, role, small group, ministry, locale, and consent records for Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and optional location services.

Church and membership information may include church name, address, logo, church registration details, tenant membership, ministry role, small group, zone, and administrator status.

User-generated content may include messages, image uploads, files, prayer cards, prayer card recipients, prayer answered status, pastoral journals, pastoral journal comments, and related metadata.

Device and usage information may include push notification tokens, device platform, app version, diagnostics, crash reports, product interaction events, security logs, and approximate location only when location consent is granted for supported features.

How we use information

• Provide church messenger, contacts, small group, ministry, and church-wide communication.
• Deliver prayer cards, Prayer Answered notifications, prayer analytics, and prayer diary reporting.
• Support Pastoral Journal workflows from small group leaders to zone leaders and pastors.
• Register churches, manage tenant memberships, and protect tenant isolation.
• Send push notification updates for messages, mentions, prayer cards, and pastoral journals.
• Improve reliability, diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

Sharing and providers

Gagyo does not sell personal information. In plain terms, we do not sell personal information and do not share personal information with third-party advertisers.

Information is shared only as needed to provide the service, comply with law, protect users, or work with service providers under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. Providers may include Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and Edge Functions; Expo, Apple, and Google infrastructure for push notifications; Sentry for error monitoring; PostHog for product analytics; and Google sign-in or location services when enabled.

Church administrators may access information necessary to manage their church tenant. Small group leaders, zone leaders, pastors, and admins may see Pastoral Journal information according to their role and tenant scope.

Retention and account deletion

Gagyo keeps information while an account is active or as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Users can initiate account deletion from the mobile app in Settings. Account deletion is designed to remove the account and associated personal data, including profile photos, device tokens, notifications, memberships, and authentication records, except where retention is legally required.

Choices and rights

• Update profile information in the app.
• Change language between English and Korean in Settings.
• Adjust notification preferences in Settings.
• Request help, moderation review, or data questions at jiminsong@gagyo.org.
• Delete the account from Settings when signed in.

Gagyo is not intended for children under 13 in the United States or under 14 in Korea. Users who do not meet the applicable age threshold should not create an account.
